It was all worth it for Kala Patthar

Going into it, I anticipated it to be extremely difficult, but in reality, the journey was easier than I expected and highly fulfilling. The reason for this was largely attributed to Ram. It seemed as though he had a sense of the time at which he should motivate us and when he needed to ease back and check on us, particularly after we got past the higher altitudes and beyond. As for Sahil, he did an excellent job, being able to sort through our luggage effortlessly and always being optimistic about the whole experience despite how tough some of the days were. The trek provided us with plenty, from the Sherpa villages, the suspension bridges and arriving at the base camp itself. But in particular, I must say, Kala Patthar. Seeing the sun rising over Everest was what made the journey truly complete.
