The Kathmandu Nagarkot Tour starts with the exploration of various UNESCO heritage sites in Kathmandu. It is a perfect place to get the mix taste of modern culture; with the ancient cultural heritage still intact in its original form. Similarly, you will end your trek with the fabulous mountain views from the hilltop of Nagarkot.

Also, you will get to visit some of culturally and historically rich places of Kathmandu; which includes Boudhanath, Swayambhunath, Pashupatinath temple, and Durbar Square. After Kathmandu tour, you hike along the greenery tropical forest, villages, and monastery; until you reach Pharping.  

Short Hike to Namobuddha offers wonderful glimpse of majestic Himalayas; along with rice and mustard fields, greenery forest, terraces and more. 

Then you take an early morning hike to Nagarkot View Tower for a lifetime sunrise view. From the view tower, you can experience panoramic Himalayan views; which includes Annapurna range, Manaslu range, Langtang range, Ganesh Himal, Mahalangur range, etc.

While returning back to Kathmandu, you can visit the ancient city of Bhaktapur. Bhaktapur is famous for historical houses, streets, temples; mostly Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Furthermore, Bhaktapur Durbar Square is a UNESCO World Heritage site; which incorporates centuries-old temples, palaces, monuments, statues and more. Also, you can also visit to the oldest temple of Nepal i.e. Changu Narayan Temple. This temple dates back to the 4th century and dedicates to Lord Vishnu.

Detail Itinerary

Welcome to the land of the Himalayas! Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, one of our representatives will warmly welcome you. Then he/she will take you to the respective hotel. Overnight stay at Kathmandu.

Today you will begin your Kathmandu city sightseeing with a visit to UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The places include Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple, Swayambhunath, and Boudhanath Stupa.

Pashupatinath Temple

Situated at 5kms east of Kathmandu valley, Pashupatinath Temple is one of the holiest places dedicated to Lord Shiva. Set on the bank of the sacred Bagmati river, UNESCO listed it as a world heritage site. During the day of Shivaratri, Hindu pilgrims from the world gather to worship Lord Shiva.

Swayambhunath (Monkey) Temple

Lies 4kms away from Kathmandu Valley, Swayambhunath temple is one of the holiest shrines for the Buddhist culture in Nepal. Stands on a lovely little hills, this temple offers the picturesque view of the Kathmandu Valley along with majestic Himalayan range.

Boudhanath Stupa

Situated 8kms east of Kathmandu valley, Boudhanath is one of the largest stupas in the valley. Tibetan style of Buddhist stupa looms 36 meters high. You can witness the devotees walking around the Stupa as it is the center of Tibetan Buddhism in Nepal.

Kathmandu Durbar Square

Kathmandu Durbar Square also known as Hanuman Dhoka is one of the imposing landmarks in Kathmandu valley. Located at the hear of Kathmandu city it is surrounded by both Hindu and Buddhist temple. The major attractions of this landmark are Kumari (Living Goddess) Ghar, Shiva Parvati Temple, Bhagwati Temple, Kal Bhairav Temple, Kasthamandap, Old Palace, and Taleju Temple.

Today you will set for Pharping one of the best hiking destinations situated in the southern part of Kathmandu. After an hour drive from Kathmandu, you will reach the beautiful settlements comprises of temples, monasteries, and Newari villages.

From Pharping, you will start your hiking toward the north ridge through the pine woody area. Walking through beautiful forest trail you will pass through four major monasteries and Guru Rinpoche’s huge statue. You will get the magnificent view of Himalayan range from central to the western side. You will explore the traditional Newari village of Parping and witness the typical Newari lifestyle. After a wonderful hike, you will retrace the same path to Pharping for about 2 hours and drive back to Kathmandu. You will spend a night at Kathmandu.

Today after breakfast you will drive to Dhulikhel which will take around 40 minutes. From here, you will start hiking from Dhulikhel to Namobuddha which will take about 3 hours. Along the trail, you will enjoy the fantastic view of green hills with a majestic view of Himalayan peaks. Throughout the day hike, you will see beautiful hillside terraced fields. This place is famous for growing rice, mustard, and millet.

Situated at an elevation of 1,750 m, Namobuddha is a famous ancient Buddhist monastery in Nepal. It is very important Pilgrimage sites for Buddhists pilgrims. This monastery is beautifully surrounded by the Tamang settlements. After a wonderful day hike, you will drive to Nagarkot for an overnight stay.

Today you will wake up early in the morning for the marvelous sunrise view over the snow-capped mountains. You will get the awesome view of the eight Himalayan ranges. The range includes Annapurna range, Manaslu range, Langtang range, Ganesh Himal range, Jugal range, Rolwaling range, Mahalangur range (Everest), and Numbur range. Along with the Himalayan views, you will enjoy views of Kathmandu valley and Shivapuri National Park. while returning back to Kathmandu you will also visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square. In the evening, you will drive back to Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel. You will spend a night in the Kathmandu.

Today you can do some last minute shopping for your closed ones. One of our representatives will drop you to the International airport to catch the flight back to your home.
