Tour Overview

The Everest Circuit trekking is one of the most popular trek in the Everest region as it combines the classic close-up views of Everest from Kalapathar, the awesome experience of Everest Base Camp, the sparkling Gokyo Lakes, the ascent of Gokyo Ri for panoramic views of the Himalayas and the thrill of crossing of the Cho La pass, a remote high altitude pass with captivating natural scenery.

We begin the Everest circuit trek with the scenic flight into Lukla. After you land at Lukla airstrip your first day trekking begins to Phakding, where you spend the first night at a local tea house (lodge). Next day you walk through forest of rhododendron and magnolia and reach to Namche Bazaar (market), a junction for trekkers. Here, you will spend two days- one day for acclimatization and other day for excursion around. On your excursion you will visit Sherpa museum, Buddhist monasteries and busy market stalls full of local products and Tibetan artefacts. It will be an exciting moment to explore around. Following the popular Everest base camp trails, you will head for the serene Gokyo Valley, passing three breathtaking glacial lakes enclosed by glistening, snow-capped peaks.

At Gokyo valley you will ascend Gokyo Ri (peak) in the early sunrise to view many of the world’s highest peaks from the summit which include Cho Oyu, Everest, Lhotse, Nupste and Makalu and the massive Nagozumpa glacier, the longest in Nepal. After exploring the Gokyo valley, you will cross the challenging Chola pass on the way to Everest base camp and Kalapathar which offer the fantastic views as you descend the pass through pristine snowfields into a wide secluded valley. You feel the increasing thrill and anticipation as you getting closer and closer to the massif Everest, the highest mountain on earth always just in fornt of you.

After making step at Everest Base camp, you will achieve an unforgettable experience. Our descending route encompasses many cultural sights – Pangboche, a traditional Sherpa village, Tengboche with its famous and wonderful ornately decorated Buddhist monastery and fascinating cultural site. In a nutshell, this Everest circuit trekking is a combination of Everest base camp and Gokyo lakes with add-on hike over the challenging Chola pass.

I went trekking with Ram around the Annapurna Mountains, and really the only way to find out how good it was is going there and doing it. You can be sure it will be a safe trip. Ram takes care of his clients, I felt safe even in the most unfammiliar environment. My worries became taking pictures, if any problem possibility came up Ram had already taken care of before…
