This is the view that the entire Ghorepani Poon Hill trek is based upon, and it’s worth every step to get on there.

We have to walk through a shaded forest trail which is followed by terraced fields of maize and potatoes at Ghandruk. From here we have also fantastic views for Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Machhapuchhare. After a lunch break here. We have to descend down to Modi Khola and walk up to Landruk  which is a major settlement of the Gurung, an ethnic group of Nepal.

Landruk at the Bheri Kharka a pleasant trail which is then short uphill to Pritam Deurali and follow the ridge trail walk at the Pothana – a nice place with stunning view of Annapurna Range then down at the Dhampus where our car will be waiting for you to drive back to civilization at Pokhara.

Poon hill trek- amazing experience

For our honeymoon, my husband, and I booked a 5-day trek to Poon Hill. It was our first time trekking and found the route very manageable, especially under our lovely guide Raaz’s guidance. Everything was so smooth and Raaz gave us so much information not only about our trek but about all the surrounding mountains and generally had a great time chatting away. The views were spectacular and something we’ll never forget- could not recommend the trek enough especially as a slower paced we really felt like we managed to absorb it all. No day felt like it was too much and we regularly stopped for breaks along the way. Thanks for some wonderful memories!

Amazing Poon Hill trek for 5 days

We were really lucky to choose to go trekking with our tour guide after reading the reviews. We did some Poon Hill trek for 5 days and we had a fantastic amazing time. Our porters and guides was wonderful – he is really knowledgable and used our frequent breaks to tell us about the story and significance of  Himalayas. It gave us a deep insight into Nepali culture. Will visit Nepal if i have a chance again.

Out of the world

My friends and I had an amazing experience on our 5 day Poon hill trek! We had a wonderful tour guide Raj and two great porters carrying our bags Gubuntar and Raju.
Raj made the experience one to remember with his knowledge of the hills and mountains.
The accommodation was basic but exactly what we needed after our long day trekking. We were unfortunate with the views as we went in March we were told that November and December is the best time to get the best views!

First charming trekking in nepal

It was our first trekking and we got an extremely good experience in poon hill. Not only the beautiful scenery but also the friendly and professional help from our guide, Ram and the other 2 porters. They helped us to pass through the slippery way that was terrible to us. Also thanks for the arrangement of the whole trip by Bishnu, we also saw 4 rhinos in Chitwan. We will be back, to ABC soon.
