Useful Info
Best Season for Pikey Peak Trek
Alike many popular treks in Nepal, Pikey Peak Trekking, is best during spring, autumn, and winter. Spring and autumn are the best options for greenery, a bright rhododendron forest, clear views, and a moderate climate. Similarly, the winter would be perfect if you want to enjoy snowfalls and crystal-clear pictures. But, it is recommended to avoid trek during monsoon as the trials would be muddy, landslide risks, and mountain views could be blurry.
Pikey Peak Trek Cost
The cost of Pikey Peak Trek depends on the packages you take. It is much lower than the famous Everest Base Camp and Annapurna base camp treks. The price varies if you book for a short 3 to 4 days package with flight transport. Similarly, you can save extra money by booking nine days Pikey Peak Trek with a 7 to 8-hour scenic road drive from Kathmandu to Phaplu and vice-versa. The costs include flight or jeep transport fare, accommodation, porters, guide, personal expenses, and TIMS card fees.
Pikey Peak Trek Difficulty
Unlike several higher-altitude Everest treks, Pikey Peak has a lower elevation of 4,065 m. Therefore, there are fewer risks of altitude sickness. Apart from that, there are facilities of teahouses and lodges at a nearby distance. The trails are moderate compared to the EBC trek, Gokyo Valley trek, Everest High Passes Trek, and many more. An average healthy person can do this trek with ease and comfort.
