During the trek, you can enjoy beautiful sceneries of lush valleys, splendid views of silvery mountains and delve into the local cultures. Sherpa, Rai, and Limbus are the main inhabitants of this region. While walking towards Arun valley you may have the mixed experience, encountering farming land, scattered ethnic settlements, rhododendron and oak forests. Spectacular views of Mt. Everest, Makalu and many other Himalayan mountain ranges are seeing vividly on a clear day.
Main Attraction of Arun Valley Trek
The first part of the trek is easy but the second part is quite challenging as the trail is narrow and untrodden while traversing through Makalu region. So, we suggest you mentally prepare to overcome the challenging part of the trek. The highest point of Arun Valley trekking is Kala Pattar in the Everest region. Arun valley trek is blessed with an incredible diversity of natural treasures and rich ethnic culture. The pleasure of walking through the picturesque Sherpa villages with swirling prayer flags and Buddhist shrines along the trail can’t be missed out.
Trekking through Arun valley provides the same thrill and challenge like the one in the Khumbu region. Walking north up the Arun River to Sedua and Num. Then crossing Barun La 4110m. into the upper Barun Khola valley brings you to a close look at Mt. Makalu. In this trial, you can also have a glimpse of more than 650 species of birds and over 800 species of butterflies. In addition, this valley is home to endangered Red Panda as well.
Nepal Hiking Adventure provides all logistical support for Arun valley trekking.
