Arrival Kathmandu (1,400 m) & Transfer to hotel
Your Annapurna Base Camp Trek and Annapurna Sanctuary Trek journey starts today. After you land at Tribhuvan International Airport, our team will meet you outside the arrival gate. You will then take a short drive to your hotel in Kathmandu. The drive takes around 20-30 minutes depending on traffic.
After reaching the hotel, you can rest and refresh. You are free in the evening to walk around Thamel, buy last-minute trekking gear, or try some Nepali food.

Pre-Trip Meeting & Sightseeing Around Kathmandu Valley (1,400 m)
In the morning, you will attend a pre-trip meeting with your trekking guide. During this briefing, your guide will check your trekking gear, explain the Annapurna Sanctuary Trek route, and review important details like permits, safety, altitude, and daily walking schedule for the Annapurna Base Camp Trek.
After the meeting, you will start a guided sightseeing tour around Kathmandu Valley. You will visit some of the major UNESCO World Heritage Sites such as: Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple) , and Kathmandu Durbar Square. Pokhara welcomes you with stunning views of Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) and the Annapurna range. In the evening, you can relax around Phewa Lake, explore Lakeside, or prepare for the next day’s trek to Annapurna Base Camp.

Your trekking adventure officially begins today. After an early breakfast in Pokhara, you will drive to Nayapul, the starting point of the Annapurna Sanctuary and Annapurna Base Camp Trek. The drive offers beautiful views of rural farmland, rivers, and mountain scenery.
From Nayapul, you begin a gentle trek following the Modi Khola river. You will pass through charming villages like Birethanti and Hille, walking on stone-paved trails, suspension bridges, and terraced fields. The trail is easy to moderate today, making it a perfect warm-up day before the bigger ascents ahead.
Tikhedhunga (1,130 m) is a peaceful small village, ideal for resting overnight before the famous uphill climb to Ulleri the next morning.

Trek from trek from Tikhedhunga (1,130 m) to Ghorepani (2,840m)
Today is one of the most challenging but rewarding days of the Annapurna Sanctuary Trek and Annapurna Base Camp Trek. After breakfast, you begin a steep ascent toward Ulleri, climbing more than 3,000 stone steps. This section is tough but offers beautiful views of terraced farmland and the surrounding hills.
After Ulleri (2,050 m), the trail becomes more gradual. You will walk through dense rhododendron and oak forests, home to various birds and peaceful natural surroundings. During spring, the whole forest glows with blooming rhododendrons—one of the highlights of this trek.
As you approach Ghorepani, the weather cools and the mountain views open up. Ghorepani (2,840 m) is a beautiful Magar village famous for its panoramic views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. You will rest here for the night and prepare for the early morning hike to Poon Hill the next day (if included).

Your day begins early, around 4:30-5:00 AM, with a 1-hour uphill hike to Poon Hill (3,210 m), one of the most famous viewpoints of the Annapurna region. From the top, you will witness a breathtaking sunrise over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges, including views of Annapurna South, Annapurna I, Hiunchuli, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), Dhaulagiri, and Nilgiri. After enjoying the panoramic views and taking photos, you walk back to Ghorepani for breakfast. You will stay overnight in a guesthouse near the hot spring. This day is easier compared to the high-altitude trekking days, allowing your body to recover before the final descent to Nayapul and drive to Pokhara.
