Annapurna Base Camp
I’m Stephen Curtis, and I did the 7-day Annapurna Base Camp trek with my son. Let me tell you, it was amazing but real work! The trek isn’t just a walk in the hills, some sections are steep, and you really feel it in your legs, but the views make every step worth it. The guides were top-notch, always looking out for us, giving tips about the villages, the mountains, and keeping us safe. The tea houses along the way were simple but cozy, and the food, especially the dal bhat, kept us going. My son loved the hot springs at Jhinu Danda; I mostly just tried to keep up with him! When we finally reached Annapurna Base Camp, seeing those towering peaks in person, Annapurna, Machapuchhre, Dhaulagiri. It was unreal. That’s a moment I’ll never forget. For anyone thinking a 7-day trek is too short to experience the Himalayas, don’t worry, it’s packed with adventure, culture, and nature. I’d say it’s perfect for dads like me who want an unforgettable family adventure without taking weeks off work.
