Detail Itinerary

Today your guide will pick you for approximately 8-9 hours of drive to Soti Khola. The drive takes through the paved roads, and the drive is pleasant until the first hours of Dhanding Bensi. After then the drive continues through on the rough surfaces till Arughat Bazaar. From Arughat, you will drive for another half an hour to Soti Khola (700 m). Overnight stay at Soti Khola.   

Today is the first day of actual Tsum Valley Trek. You will cross a bridge over the river and continue your trek through beautiful Sal forests. From here you will climb a ridge above Budhi Gandaki River and trail leads to Khursane village. Passing through waterfalls and walking on the steep rocky trail you will reach Labubesi, a traditional Gurung village.

Again from here you will continue your climb down to the sandy river bed. Here you will reach to the side where you will cross down the river over a suspension bridge. After 6/7 hours of walk, you will reach Machha Khola (870 m) for an overnight stay.

Today slowly gaining altitude, the trail leaves behind Machha Khola (Fish River) and takes to Jagat (2,340 m). Crossing a log bridge over the river you will climb up and down a steep and narrow path and reach Khorlabesi, a charming Gurung settlement at 970 m.

Finally, after 5-6 hour of walk passing through several Gurung villages of Tatopani, Yuru Khola. And Dhovan you will reach Jagat for an overnight stay. Jagat is the main entry point into the Manaslu Conservation Area (MCA).

Today you will start your trek ascending over a rocky ridge to Salleri and descending to Sirdibas on the flat trail. The trail opens up and continues up to Ghatta Khola. You will cross a small hanging bridge and climb up to Philim. It is a big village mainly inhabited by the Gurung communities.

Continuing the trek through pine and rhododendron forests< you will descend to the trail which leads you to Tsum Valley. Enjoying the panoramic mountain views, after 6/7 hours of walk you will reach a small beautiful village of Lokpa (1,980 m). Overnight stay at Lokpa.

Today you will trek along the old trade route to Tibet. You will descend for a half an hour to Lungwa Khola and then climbing on the zigzag trail. Further, walking for two hours north through pine and rhododendron forests you will reach Gumlung village. You will trek for 6/7 hours to reach Chumling from Lokpa. Finally, after crossing the Siyar Khola, you will reach Chumling (2,386 m) for an overnight stay.

Chumling is a beautiful village located on the south face of Shingri Himal. This village will reward you mouthwatering view of Siringi Himal. Rest of the time you can explore the village and visit the ancient Chumling Gompa.

Today after breakfast at Chumling you will head towards Chhekampar (3,010 m). You will start the trek crossing the suspension bridge on the opposite bank of the river. You will enjoy the scenic view of Ganesh Himal throughout the trek. Crossing the Serpu Khola over the bridge you will arrive in the village of Gho.

Finally, after 6/7 hours of climb, you will reach the village of Chhekampar. From this village, you can enjoy the majestic views of Himchuli (7,893 m) and Ganesh Himal (7,140 m). Overnight stay at Chhekampar.

Today you will ascend from Chhekampar, you might feel the altitude. So we recommend you to drink plenty of water in order to keep yourself hydrated. Walking through flatlands, you will reach Lama Gaon (3,2020 m). Continuous walk across the crop fields and river you will arrive at the huge courtyard of Rachen Gompa/ Nunnery Gompa (3,240 m).

Further, crossing the Shiyar Khola and passing through the hamlets of Phurbe and Pangdun, you will reach the large settlements of Chhule (3,347 m). In Chhule village, you will notice the old historic stupa of Buddha. Heading towards upstream and after crossing the bridge you will make the last climb to Nile (3,360 m).

Nile is the last settlement heading north in the Upper Tsum Valley. It lies on the banks of Shiar Khola and consists of a large number of houses. Overnight stay at Nile.

Today after having breakfast at Nile village you will trek back to Chumling (2,386 m). You will approximately walk for 6-7 hours. You will retrace the trail and passing through Rachen Gompa you will reach Chumling for an overnight stay.

After breakfast at Chumling, you will continue your trek. Walking on the flat trail you will reach Lokpa village. On the way, you can enjoy the view of Samba Falls. After 6/7 hours of walk, you will reach Philim (1,570 m). You can see the trail which leads to Ganesh Himal Base Camp. You will spend a night at Philim village.

Today after breakfast, you will leave Philim and start your trek. From here, you will descend to Sirdibas and finally reach Jagat. The continuous downhill walk will lead you to Yaruphant. You will notice a change in the landscapes as the arid Tibetan climate is changed to subtropical green vegetation. Finally, after 5-6 hours of walk, you will reach Dovan (1,150 m) for an overnight stay.

Today you will continue your trek from Dovan to Tatopani where you can enjoy the natural hot water bath. Further, descending and following the bank of the Budhi Gandaki River you will reach Khorlabeshi.

After crossing the Thado Khola you will descend through Maccha Khola to Gurung village of Labubesi. Passing through two waterfalls on a steep rocky trail you will reach Khursane. Passing through Sal forests, you will continue your walk and finally, after 7-8 hours you will arrive at Soti Khola (700 m). Overnight stay at Soti Khola.

Today early in the morning after having breakfast at Sotikhala you will drive to Arughta first and then back to Kathmandu. It will take around 8-9 hours to reach Kathmandu (1,300 m). The drive will take you through Prithvi Highway.

Throughout the drive, you will see beautiful flowing Marshyangdi and Trishuli river. Along with this, you will also get the splendid view of mountains, green hills, small waterfalls, farming terraces, and villages. Continuing your drive to Malekhu and Dhading Besi you will reach Kathmandu. Upon your arrival at Kathmandu, our guide will transfer you to the respective hotel.
