Tour Overview

The Rolwaling Valley Trek is one of the most remote and sparsely inhabited trekking areas in Nepal. Ever since the lush valley of Rolwaling opened for adventurers, the trail is getting more popular.

The Rolwaling Valley is located northwest of Kathmandu, close to the Tibetan border between Tama Koshi River and Khumbu Himal. This is the valley where the tales of much-wanted YETI originated. Rolwaling- Tashi Lapsa Pass trek begins from Barabise, a small town; after 7 hours drive from Kathmandu, passing through some of the spectacular places. While on an overland journey you will enjoy tantalizing views of Mt. Everest and many other peaks. This trek also provides the side excursion and climbing opportunity to some trekking peaks like Ramdung Go (5390m).

Crossing over high passes en- route provides truly wilderness experience. The small Sherpa villages of Bedding and Na in the Rolwaling valley provide an opportunity to experience unique Sherpa culture. At Beding village you can visit the old Buddhist monastery. Trekkers encounter alpine forests and lots of waterfalls while walking through the valley. While proceeding to Tashi Lapcha pass (5,755 m), the most difficult ones in the entire Rolwaling valley; from where you can see great views of Mt Gauri Shanker (7146m), Perchamo Peak, Ramdung Peak, Dorje Lakpa, Mt.Everest, Mt. Cho Oyo and many other high altitude snow peaks.

After passing Tashi Lepcha pass you will traverse into the lush Thame Valley, the homeland of the Sherpas; and pass through Namche Bazaar and end the trek at Lukla. Next day morning you will fly back to Kathmandu.

Rolwaling- Tashi Lapsa Pass trek is possible only on full board camping; with the support of the trekking crew and camping gear.

First charming trekking in nepal

It was our first trekking and we got an extremely good experience in poon hill. Not only the beautiful scenery but also the friendly and professional help from our guide, Ram and the other 2 porters. They helped us to pass through the slippery way that was terrible to us. Also thanks for the arrangement of the whole trip by Bishnu, we also saw 4 rhinos in Chitwan. We will be back, to ABC soon.
