Detail Itinerary

Once you land at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, one of our team members from Nepal Hiking Adventure will welcome you. Then, he would drive you to the hotel at Thamel. After resting and refreshment, our senior manager will meet you and brief the entire trekking package. After the completion of the meeting, you can relax at the hotel or explore Thamel’s sparkling and vibrant streets.

From Kathmandu, after a light breakfast, we drive to Dhap bazaar early morning. This road trip would be 8 hours long along the Sun Kosi river that merges with the Tama Kosi river at a religious site of Om Tribeni Narbeshwor Mahadev. The roadway passes across a sub-tropical forest, and several local villages of Khurkot Bazaar and Ghurmi and finally reaches Dhap Bazaar. From here, the off-road 4-5 hours walk starts along the terrain farmlands. From Sigane, we would observe the mesmerizing views of the Numbur Himal (6,958 m), a part of the great Himalayas. Enjoying the pleasant mountain views and scenery, we would reach the Japre village where we overnight.

From Jhapre, our trek to Pikey Base Camp start. It would be four to 5 hours of slightly upward walking. Moving on the rough rocky trails, one can enjoy the clear Mt.Everest views alongside other lower peaks. Crossing the resting spots like Bhulbhule and several Yaks farms, we stop at Lhmuje (3,380 m) for lunch. Then, the walk from Lhmuje to Pikey Base Camp starts, which would be moderately tiring. At the Pikey Base Camp’s lodge, the local community welcomes and entertains you with local traditional songs, dances, and cuisines. Overnight at Pikey Camp lodge

Early morning we follow the winding path toward the Pikey Peak Base Camp. Pikey Base Camp’s viewpoints are among the best sunrise viewpoints in Nepal. From here, one can observe the vast panoramic picture of snow-capped mountains, which include Everest, Numbur, Thamserkhu, Kanchenjunga, Manaslu, Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Gaurishankhar, Dorje Lakpa, and Langtang. After enjoying the magical sunrise and breakfast, we hike down to Loding, passing through rhododendron forests. Finally, overnight at Loding lodge.

Having breakfast early, we walk down through the rhododendron forests and dry grasslands and reach Taktor. Here, the Everest Base Camp Trek trails from Jiri connect. In Taktor, there are many developed teahouses and lodges. From Taktor, after a couple of hours of walking through dusty trails, we reach Junbesi. It is a beautiful traditional Sherpa village with an ancient Thubten Choling monastery, mane stones, and stupas. Overnight at Junbesi hotel.

Today, the trail will descend downwards with a slight ascent at some places with a glimpse of sparkling mountains and crossing a wooden bridge over Junbesi Khola. After a few more hours of walking along the green hills, farmlands, and valleys and crossing the suspension bridge over Dudhkunda Khola, we reach Ringmo village. It is a famous spot for apple, peach, and apricot beverages, alcohol, and dried apple snacks. Passing the Buddhist mani walls, we take a moderate hike to Taksindu La (3,071 m). From here, one can observe the beautiful valleys, green forests, farmlands, and a glimpse of the Himalayas. Down the Taksindu La lies the Taksindu monastery (2,931 m), built in 1946 by a respected Rinpoche. Overnight at Taksindu lodge.

Leaving behind the beautiful Taksindu, we follow the quiet routes to Phaplu crossing through the winding forest pathway. On descending towards Phaplu, one can visit the old Chiwong Monastery, built in 1923. On reaching Phaplu, you can relax at your lodge, recalling all the unforgettable memories you have created on this journey. Overnight at Phaplu lodge.

Today is the last day of your magical journey at Everest. After a light breakfast, we head towards Kathmandu, an 8 hours drive. On reaching your lodge at Thamel, you can relax or do last-minute shopping to take souvenirs for family, friends, and relatives.

On your last day in Nepal, our Nepal Hiking Adventure officer will drop you at the Tribhuvan International Airport 2-3 hours before the flight’s scheduled time.
