Detail Itinerary

The first day of your trekking adventure begins with a trek from the bustling town of Pokhara to Ulleri. As you set out, you’ll immediately be surrounded by lush forests and scenic landscapes. You’ll trek along a well-maintained path that winds its way through a series of charming villages, each with its unique culture and traditions.

As you continue on your journey, you’ll be rewarded with stunning views of the Annapurna mountain range, including peaks like Machhapuchhre and Annapurna South. Along the way, you’ll also have the opportunity to interact with locals and learn about their way of life. You may even get to try some traditional Nepalese cuisines.

After several hours of trekking, you’ll arrive in the village of Ulleri, situated at an altitude of around 2,050 meters above sea level. Here, you’ll have the chance to rest and recharge for the next day of your journey. Ulleri is known for its charming stone houses and winding stone staircases, which make for a picturesque setting to spend the night.

On the second day of the trek, you will head towards Ulleri in the morning towards Ghorepani. Ghorepani is the village located at an altitude of 2750 meters, is known for its distinctive blue roofs and houses. You will be able to witness the wild rhododendrons in full bloom, covering the valleys in vibrant red colors mostly during the March and April.

Trail to Ghorepani is steeper and as you climb higher, you’ll notice a change in climate and flora, with denser forests and beautiful flowers, particularly the rhododendrons. These wild flowers create a magical atmosphere that makes you feel like you’re in a dream world or fantasy world. The photos and words cannot do justice to the breathtaking beauty and tranquility of the region. Upon reaching Ghorepani, you will take a rest at the guest house, preparing for your next day trek.

Now, we will continue our trek towards Dobato. As we approach Dobato, the landscape changed dramatically, with the forest giving way to alpine vegetation and the scenery becoming more rugged and mountainous. Dobato is located at an altitude of 3,350 meters and is a small settlement, with only a handful of guesthouses and shops. It is primarily used as a rest stop for trekkers which is surrounded by lush forests of rhododendron and oak trees, which bloom with vibrant colors during the spring season.

As you ascend, the landscape begins to open up and you’ll be treated to a breathtaking view of the Annapurna South massif looming above you. You’ll will also hear the sound of rushing waterfalls as the river races away into the steep-sided valley below. Then, you will arrive at Meshar Danda, where you can rest and take in the incredible panoramic view from the ridgeline.

Once you’re ready to move on, you’ll continue along the forested trail for about an hour until you reach Isharu, a spot where shepherds gaze their sheep. Then, the trail leads you on a gentle ascent as it contours around the hillside and up to a small, charming Gurung temple. Spend peaceful night at Dobato after the long day of trekking.

For the day 4 of the trek, you will partake on an early morning hike to Mulde View Trek. The Mulde View Trek is a short but spectacular trek in the Annapurna region of Nepal. It is a route that takes you through dense forests, quaint villages, and lush meadows, all while offering stunning panoramic views of the Annapurna massif. The viewpoint is at an elevation of around 3,600 meters and is reached by a steep climb from the village of Dobato.

The trek to the Mulde View Point takes approximately 45 minutes from the teahouse of Dobato.  From the top, you can see panoramic views of the Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) mountain ranges. You’ll see the early morning beautiful sunrise. Furthermore, the view is especially breathtaking during sunrise, as the first rays of the sun paint the mountains in shades of pink, orange and gold.

After taking in the stunning view, you’ll trek back down to Dobato to start your journey towards Ghandruk. As you descend, the vegetation starts to change, giving way to bamboo and oak trees. After walking for a few hours, you’ll reach the village of Tadapani, which is a perfect spot for a lunch break. Tadapani offers stunning views of the Annapurna South and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail). You will continue to trek towards Ghandruk, passing through the small villages of Chuile and Kimche.

After you arrive at Ghandruk, also known as the ‘Switzerland of Nepal’, check out the tiny Gurung Museum for local history and textiles, and explore the traditional houses made of stone slabs. Or either you can just sit back and relax. There are plenty of places in the village to absorb the snow-capped views of the different mountain ranges. Spend the night at a teahouse in Ghandruk.

On your last day of the trek, after having breakfast in Ghandruk, you will begin your trek towards Nayapul. The trail will take you through picturesque villages and terraced fields along the way, offering beautiful views of the Annapurna Mountain range. As you continue along the Modi Khola River, the trail leads you through a beautiful gorge, with steep cliffs and cascading waterfalls. Along the way, you will pass through small settlements like Syauli Bazaar, Birethanti, and finally reach Nayapul. From Nayapul, you can take a jeep or taxi back to Pokhara.

Once you arrive back in Pokhara, you can rest and relax after the trek. You may want to explore the city of Pokhara, visit some of the local markets, or enjoy a meal at one of the many restaurants and cafe. If time allows, you can also visit some of the popular attractions in Pokhara, such as the Peace Pagoda, Phewa Lake, or the World Peace Stupa. You will spend the night in a hotel or a guesthouse in Pokhara.

For the next day you can have breakfast at your hotel or guesthouse. And depending on your travel plans, you can either spend the day exploring more of Pokhara or begin your journey back to Kathmandu or other destinations. This marks the end of the trek, and you can take a moment to relish on the experience and memories you have made during your time in the Annapurna region.
