Detail Itinerary

Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will be greeted at the airport and after your pick up you will be transferred to your hotel. After an early breakfast, you will board a plane for a scenic flight to Lukla (2,800 m) for about 30 minutes. The flight from Kathmandu to Lukla is an adventure in itself as the runway is located on a steep cliff and the flight offers a stunning views of the Himalayas.

Once you arrive in Lukla, you can start your trek towards Phakding, located at an altitude of 2,651 meters, which is about 2 to 3 hours hike from Lukla. The trail will take you through small Sherpa villages, lush forests, and along the Dudh Koshi River. Along the way, you’ll pass through several suspension bridges that are hanging over the river, offering great views of the surrounding landscape. You may also encounter some wildlife, such as the Himalayan Thar, a type of mountain goat that is native to the region. You will spend your first night in the guesthouse/teahouse in Phakding where you can rest, have a warm meal, and acclimatize to the altitude.

On day 2 of your trek, you’ll continue along the trail toward Monjo, which is located at an altitude of 2,650 meters. The trek from Phakding to Monjo takes around 4 hours to complete. The trail will take you through small villages and alongside the Dudh Koshi River. You’ll pass through the entrance to the Sagarmatha National Park, which is a protected area in the Himalayas and home to many rare species of flora and fauna.

As you continue along the trail, you’ll start to get a glimpse of the majestic peaks of the Himalayas in the distance. Monjo is a small village with a few shops and restaurants, and it’s a great place to spend more time and explore the local area. Furthermore, it’s also a good idea to take short walks around the village to help your body acclimatize to the higher altitude. Overnight at the guesthouse/teahouses.

You’ll be heading towards Namche Bazaar, which is located at an altitude of 3,440 meters. The trek from Monjo to Namche Bazaar takes around 5 to 6 hours to complete. The trail will continue along the Dudh Koshi River and gradually incline as you ascend toward Namche Bazaar. You’ll pass through several small villages and cross over several suspension bridges along the way.

As you get closer to Namche Bazaar, you’ll start to get a better view of the Himalayan peaks, including Mount Everest. Namche Bazaar is a bustling town with many shops, restaurants, and guesthouses. You can spend the day exploring the town and visiting the local markets and shops. Overnight at Namche Bazaar.

You will take a short hike to the Everest View Hotel, which is located at an altitude of 3,880 meters. The hike takes about 2 hours. The trail takes you through forests and along ridges with stunning views of Himalayas. You’ll also pass through several small villages and see the local way of life in the region.

The Everest View Hotel is located in a stunning location with panoramic views of the surrounding peaks, including Mount Everest. You can enjoy a warm drink or a meal at the hotel’s restaurant and soak in the breathtaking views.

The hotel is located in a strategic location on a ridge with unobstructed views of the mountains, making it one of the best viewpoints in the region. On a clear day, you can see Mount Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Ama Dablam, and other peaks in the region. The view is especially spectacular during sunrise and sunset, as the golden light illuminates the peaks and creates a stunning visual display. Overnight at Everest View Hotel.

On day 5 of your trek, you’ll take a helicopter flight to Everest Base Camp and Kalapathaar before returning to Kathmandu. This is an exhilarating experience that allows you to see the beauty of the region from a unique perspective and up close.

The helicopter will take off from Everest View Hotel and fly over the Khumbu region, providing stunning aerial views of the Himalayan peaks, including Mount Everest. You will fly over the Everest Base Camp (5,364 m) and Kalapathhar, which is a popular viewpoint located at an altitude of 5,545 meters. From here, you’ll have an incredible view of Mount Everest and the surrounding peaks.

After taking in the views, the helicopter will return to Kathmandu, taking the end of your trekking adventure. This is a great way to experience the beauty of the Everest region in a short amount of time and is perfect for those who may not have the time or ability to complete a full trek.
