Detail Itinerary

Duration: 3 hours.

Spending a day at Kathmandu, our tour starts with an early scenic mountain flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. While on air, you can have amazing scenery of hills covered with forest, waterfalls and rivers, clouds flowing in the air, etc. As soon as you step on Lukla, you will have your first glimpse of sky touching snow-capped mountains. From Lukla, we start trekking north to the beautiful village of Phakding. It resides at an elevation of 2,700 m on the Dudh Koshi river valley. Overnight at Phakding Hotel/lodge.

With an early morning breakfast at Phakding, we start hiking towards the tourism capital of the Khumbu district, Namche Bazaar.  Walking along the ridges of Dudh Kosi river crossing multiple suspension bridges, and finally crossing the Hillary suspension bridge over Dudh Kosi we take a steep climb through the woodlands to the streets of Namche.

Namche Bazaar is a famous place among trekkers as a rest/acclimatization spots for many Everest region trekking. During the rest day, trekkers explore the local markets, and popular cafes, bakeries, and restaurants. From Namche, you can view marvelous views of Everest, Ama Dablam, Nuptse, and many more peaks. Overnight at Namche Bazaar.

Today with an early morning breakfast, we move towards the well-known village of Tengboche. The trails to Tengboche is blending of uphill and downhill walk passing across numerous stupas embellished with colorful prayer flags. Finally, we reach Sanasa where we have some tea breaks. From this very spot, you can see a clear view of Ama Dablam along with other rising peaks. Having Tea breaks at such places is one of the major highlights of Short Everest Base Camp Trek.  A few distances ahead there comes a point from where Gokyo Valley Trek (left) and Everest Base Camp Trek routes separate.

We then descend through the rhododendron, oaks and pines forest to the bridges over the Dudh Kosi river.  After crossing the bridge, we ascent through multiple switchbacks until we reach Tengboche village. It is home to the largest monastery of the Khumbu region, Tengboche Monastery (3,867m). You can make a visit to the holy site for praying and sightseeing. Overnight at Tengboche Hotel/Lodge.

Today we hike from downhill forest walk, cross suspension bridges with a slight uphill climb to the dryland of Dingboche. Dingboche is a traditional village previously used for pasturing by sherpas. During the peak season, Dingboche is packed with groups of trekkers for acclimatization. From here, you view Imja Tse ( Island Peak ) which is popular for Island Peak Climbing. Overnight at Dingboche Hotel/lodges.

From Dingboche, we take a gentle walk across rocky grasslands and Yaks shelter. While trekking, you view of Lhotse(north) and Ama Dablam(south) overshadowing other peaks view. A few more hours walking, we reach the scenic village of Pheriche. From here, we have a decent walk on the Khumbu Glacier (the highest glacier of Nepal) until we reach Lobuche. Overnight at Lobuche guesthouse.

Duration: 8 hours.

Leaving Lobuche, a decent walk until we take a short steep climb over the Khumbu Glacier moraine. We then walk through the winding, rocky and slippery path over the glacier with a great view of Nuptse, Pumori and Everest. We then reach Gorak Shep from where we make our way to Everest Base Camp which takes 3 hours for a complete circuit. The views from Everest Base Camp is inexpressible. You can have a face to face encounter to mighty Everest along with other apex touching mountains. During peak time, you can see a large number of tents set up for the Everest expedition. Similarly, Khumbu Icefall which is one of the most dangerous stages of Everest Peak Climbing can be seen here. After exploration, we descended towards Gorak Shep. Overnight at Gorak Shep guesthouse.

Today we hike to Kala Patthar at dawn to have a once in a lifetime sunrise view rising from the heart of the great Himalayas. Trails to Kala Patthar( large black rocky mountain) is windy and rocky that leads to an elevation of 5,545m. Reaching the summit filled with colorful prayer flags, you can see the sun rising just before your eyes; accompanied by sweeping 360° views of Himalayan Ranges. Traversing for half an hour, we head back to Pheriche. Overnight at Pheriche guesthouse.

Leaving Pheriche, we descend towards the suspension bridge over the Imja river, slight climb over Tengboche, crossing the alluring rhododendron, oaks, and junipers and suspension bridges we arrive at Namche Bazaar. Overnight at Namche Guesthouse.

Duration: 7 hours.

Having an early breakfast we leave Namche on our journey to Lukla. We follow the same routes but the difference is today we have to descend a steep pathway cross multiple bridges over Dudh Kosi river and reach the Phakding village for Lunch. A few more walks across the Sagarmatha National Park, we reach the Lukla (the gateway to Everest). Overnight at Lukla guesthouse.

Today is the last day of your eternal short trek to Everest Base camp. After breakfast at Lukla, we take a 30-minute scenic flight back to Kathmandu valley. Our team representative will drop you to your hotel for an overnight stay.
