We’ll talk about Kathmandu’s tour routes. And on that day, we’ll take you on a one-day full visit to Kathmandu. Druk Air has one of the most impressive mountain flights to Paro. Whether flying from Kathmandu or over the foothills along the Himalayan range, each flight is a fascinating feat and offers exciting descent into the Kingdom. On arrival at the airport our representative got, and moved to Thimphu, Bhutan’s new capital city. Overnight stay at a Thimphu hotel.

After breakfast, carry on to visit the valley of Thimphu. Visit the beautiful medieval fortress / monastery Trashi Chhoe Dzong, which houses most of the government’s office and King’s Throne room. It is also Je Khenpo, the Chief Abbot’s summer home. Then visit the National Library which contains an extensive collection of ancient Buddhist texts and manuscripts.

After that drive to School of Arts & Crafts, famous for traditional thangka painting. You will see here, students at work making intricate fabric design. Later you can visit Textile and Folk Heritage Museums, a fascinating testimony of the material culture and living practices of Bhutan.

 

After lunch, visit the Emporium of Handicrafts which displays a wide range of beautifully hand-woven and crafted products. Then travel to Memorial Chorten, the stupa built in memory of the Third King of Bhutan who is popularly considered father of modern Bhutan. Inside this monument the paintings and sculptures provide a profound insight into Buddhist philosophy.

Late afternoon drive to Punakha across Dochula pass (3,080m). Overnight at the hotel in Punakha.

After a breakfast visit to Punakha Dzong, strategically established by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal at the junction of the rivers Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu in 1637 to serve as the region’s religious and administrative hub, Punakha Dzong has played an important role in the history of Bhutan. Damaged by four disastrous fires and an earthquake, the Dzong was restored to its full potential.

Then fly to Dzong to visit the local market and Wangdiphodrang. The Wangdiphodrang district is even famous for its bamboo pieces, slate and stone carvings. After lunch drive to Paro with a short stop at Aberula pass. Visit Simtokha Dzong, the Kingdom’s oldest fortress, built in 1627, on that road, it now houses the Buddhist School. Overnight stay at Paro hotel.

After Breakfast: Transfer to Punakha-It is about 90 kilometers from Thimphu and is almost 03 hours away. Punakha is Punakha dzongkhag administrative center, Bhutan districts. Punakha, was Bhutan’s capital. It has a population of 25,700. Wangdue Phodrang is a town and capital of Wangdue Phodrang District, in central Bhutan (dzongkhag thromde). It has a 34,300 population-Enroute Visit, Aberu la Pass, Druk Wangyal Lhakhang, Punakha Dzong, Wangdue Phodrang, Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten

Move to Paro, where it is Scenic Beauty Destination. Bhutan’s only international airport, in Paro. It has a 39,800 population. It is about 145 kilometers away and is about 04 hours from Punakha & Wangdue-Overnight Stay at Paro.

Paro is a district city and seat of Paro, situated in Bhutan’s Paro Valley. It is the location of the only international airport in the country, and is also known for the many sacred sites in the area-it is a historic city with many sacred sites and historic buildings scattered through the area. The local sightseeing begins after Breakfast.
