Ganesh Himal Trekking

Ganesh Himal Trekking

Ganesh Himal trekking takes you to the remote and off-the-beaten area far from the madding crowd in the central Nepal. You will walk through the culturally rich unspoiled ethnic villages and dense forest with gorgeous Himalayan flora and fauna at the backdrop of the breathtaking mountain range of Ganesh, Manaslu and Langtang.

Ganesh Himal trekking provides unusual sights of the traditional lifestyle of the rural people, their culture and un-spoilt wilderness. The trekking begins at Betrawati with a mesmerizing panoramic view of the Ganesh Himal range. The entire trekking area to Ganesh Himal is enriched with the impressive alpine flora a variety of ferns and Jasmine. The dense forest is teemed with Spanish oak, blue pine and in spring time blossoming of the rhododendron set the whole forest alight in spectacular arrays of color. Starting with a scenic drive to Betrawati via Trisuli Bazaar, the trek begins along the forested ridges passing through primitive Tamang villages, hot springs, gorges and glaciers and magnificent sceneries.

Ganesh Himal trekking is not as popular as Annapurna and Everest region trekking. In the spring (March to May) you will see the mountainsides colorful with magnificent Rhododendron flowers. The friendly and hospitable people of villages in the Ganesh Himal region have their unique customs and tradition. They show a hospitable welcome dance to the visitors in the villages. Ghatu dance that takes place during Chandi Purnima in the Nepalese month of Chaitra (March-April) and Maruni dance during Dashain and Tihar are very popular. In the evening just nearby your camp you can enjoy watching women group cultural dance and it is really fascinating.

Nepal Hiking Adventure organizes Ganesh Himal trekking on full board camping with all necessary camping gear, food, fuel, camping crew and other logistical support. For more details about the trek, please e-mail us at [email protected]
