Where is Nepal?
Nepal is located in South Asia and is bordered by China to the North and India to the East, West and South. The length of the country is 885 kilometers from east-west and its breath varies from 145 to 241 kilometers from north-south.

How do I get to Nepal?
You need a visa to travel to Nepal. You can easily get a multiple entry visa upon your arrival at the International airport in Nepal on paying US$ 25 for 15 days, US$ 40 for30 days, US$ 100 for 90 days

When is the best time to travel to Nepal?
The best time to travel to Nepal is autumn (October to November) or Spring March to May. Visiting Nepal during October to November you can expect better visibility, the air is fresh, and the weather is perfect .Besides, the Nepalese greatest festivals- Dashain and Tihar fall during this season. May to June is also a good time to travel although the weather is hot and dusty. December to January is the winter season in Nepal, which is also a good time to travel; the climate and visibility is good. Down jackets and sweaters are recommended for trekking in the higher altitudes. Monsoon starts from Mid June to September; traveling during this period is not advisable unless you are the one who loves the best in everything or finds the best from anything. Just you need to bring your raincoat during this season.

Please contact your service provider and check if Nepal country is included in their `Global roaming' package. Please note not all parts of Nepal are covered by the GSM Network in Nepal.

Is your trekking agency a government licenced?
Yes, we are a government licenced trekking and expedition company and are associated with the NMA, TAAN and are a member of the NTB.

Do the guides and support staff speak English?
Our guides do speak English but not very fluently because English is a third language to us. Some of the support staff do speak a little English while some do not understand the language at all.

What is the group size for trek?
There are no restrictions on the size of a group. In the past we have had groups of more than fifty. We provide the same services to an individual as well as a group.

What is the best time for trekking?
Best time for trekking is autumn (October-November) and spring (end of February-April). Short treks and some Tea Houses treks can be done during winter season as well. For more details on trekking season of different routes check our season guide.

What is 'Teahouse trek', what can I expect?
Teahouse trek means lodge trek.You will find lodges dotted along the main trekking trails of Everest, Annapurna and Langtang regions. If you're on a lodge trek, you will have rooms with two beds with shared bathrooms and toilets.They're simple but functional, and clean always. Dinner and breakfast will be given in the lodge where you stay overnight, but lunch is usually served somewhere along the route.

What is a camping trek?
Camping trek requires us to carry tents, kitchen gear, food and necessary equipments. As compared to tea house treks, camping treks are more adventurous and expensive..

How is the food on a tea house trek ?
Every tea house has its own menu and you have to choose what you want. Usually the menu consists of local delicacies.

What about security during the trek?
We are very concerned about the safety and security of both our clients and our staff. Our guides have experience in handling any situation and will look after you during the entire trek.

Do you provide any trekking and climbing equipments?
Actually, we do not provide any of your personal equipments and climbing gear on the trekking and climbing, but if you wish we can help hiring in Kathmandu.

How long do we walk each day?
Normally, we walk for 5 to 6 hours each day.

How should I dress during the trek?
While trekking in lower altitudes, shorts and T-shirts will be ok. But, as the trek gains altitude warm clothes is a must.

Where can I store some personal items before the trek?
If you wish, you can store any personal items at your hotel in Kathmandu or in our office.

Do I need experience for trekking?
Trekking does not require any experience and is suitable for people of all age groups. However, physical fitness is required for a trek.

Do you accept credit card payments?
Although we prefer receiving cash payment after your arrival, we do accept credit cards as well.

Is it possible to hire trekking equipments in Kathmandu?
Yes, you can hire all the required trekking equipments in Kathmandu and we help you in doing so.

What about telephone and internet facilities during the trek?
Almost all the trekking routes have telephone and internet facilities.

What do I do if I am sick in the mountains?
First, we suggest that you drink 4 litres of water every day. In case you get sick we provide you hot drinks and general medications. If this doesn’t work, you will be taken to a lower altitude to help you feel better or rescue by helicopter.

Do we need to bring additional medicine for the trekking?
It is always better to consult your private doctor before going trek in Nepal. However, we suggest you to carry simple medicines such as Ibuprofen, Codeine, Paracetamol, Strepsils, anti-diarrhea tablets and Diamox (for high altitude sickness).

Do I need insurance for trekking?
Yes, make sure to have both medical and evacuation insurance before coming to Nepal. You should be careful in choosing a policy while traveling to a Himalayan country like Nepal as some insurance companies may make special exceptions for adventure travel.

What about the guide and porters are they equipped/trained and insured?
Yes, our entire guide and porter are experienced and have vast knowledge on the culture, geography, ecology and history of the every Region. They are fully trained, insured and well equipped.

What kind of weather can we expect during trekking? How cold does it get?
Weather in the mountains is very hard to forecast. Nights are generally colder than the days. Winter will be colder but the days will be beautiful with clear sky. Most important to stay on warm and dry when we are on the trekking. Average Temperatures in Nepal, these days you can check the weather forecast on internet.

Do we get bottled, boiled and filtered water?
During trekking, lodges serve bottled, boiled and filtered water, which is generally safe and have to be paid for. Because of environmental reasons however we encourage our guests to use iodine and other purifying agents to treat water before drinking.
